We were so excited to find this authentic Venus coin dating back to 275 A.D. It is a very unusual relic that tells a story the HIStory books don’t tell.
On one side is Venus the Goddess of love, on the reverse side is the Empress Severina. It is speculated that she ruled after her husband Aurelian's murder, however there is no supporting literary evidence, only this mysterious coin.
The minting of a coin is the exclusive decision of a ruling Emperor.  Scholars believe this coin may be proof Severina was arguably, the only woman to rule the Roman Empire.
